Albert Newman, age 78, passed away on August 10, 2024. Born on September 4, 1945, he brought immense joy to those around him and made new friends everywhere he went.
Albert is survived by his wife and best friend of 60 years, Fern (Rachleff) Newman; daughter, Melissa Owen; son-in-law, Michael Owen; and a close-knit group of loving family and friends who will forever hold dear his memory. He was predeceased by his parents, Sylvia and Morris Newman and son, Marc Newman.
Albert's journey touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of strength, resilience and humor. His unwavering spirit in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all who knew him. He will be remembered for his kindness, compassion, quick wit and the positive impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
Many will remember Albert from the family business he owned with his parents for more than 60 years, Newman Sewing Machine. Anyone who walked through those doors was greeted with a warm smile and became instant friends. He loved to share heartfelt and often funny stories from his experiences throughout the day with his family over dinner. He especially appreciated when his friends would visit him at work and take him out for lunch.
Albert lived life to the fullest – he enjoyed fishing, traveling the world with his wife by his side, going to the beach (always staying under the umbrella to avoid sunburn), playing with his grand-dog Bentley, and treasured Friday night dinners with his closest friends, who he considered family.
Albert would want his family and friends to celebrate his life, share memories and funny stories to keep his legacy alive, and remind them to live, laugh and immerse themselves in all the things they love.
May Albert rest in peace and may his memory continue to bring comfort to those who mourn his passing. Please join us in celebrating Albert’s life – he will be remembered as a mensch, and a kind, compassionate, caring man.
