Annette Diamond

d. October 12, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Annette Diamond, 101, most-recently of Longmeadow, Massachusetts.

Annette was born August 6, 1923, in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Isadore and Ethel (Edelson) Becker and was graduated from New Utrech High School in Brooklyn, N.Y. Following World War II, she married Philip Diamond, and they moved to Linden, New Jersey in 1953 where she lived for more than 60 years. When Phil passed in 1990, Annette created a fulfilling life for herself that included new friends and travel. In 2014 Annette made her home at the Glenmeadow Independent Senior Living in Longmeadow, Massachusetts and continued to find pleasure with friends and family in everyday life.

Annette’s sense of humor, along with self-deprecating retorts, her compassion and strength and her resilience made her a treasured friend and neighbor.

She belonged to Temple Beth El, Springfield, MA., was a life-member of Hadassah, B’nai Brith, and the Anti-Defamation League.

When asked, Annette would state that her proudest legacy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren:
She leaves
Children: Iris Diamond Linson (Marc), Lee Diamond (Bonnie), Edward Diamond (Shelley, of Blessed Memory)
Grandchildren: Daniel Linson (Jacqueline), Joshua Linson (Priya), Sari Linson Danzig (Christopher), Elyse Linson (Hari Mylvaganam), Evan Diamond (Shari), Jay Diamond, Lisa Diamond Streicher (Adam), Alison Diamond Walsh (Christopher), Paige Diamond, and Rachel Diamond
Fourteen Great Grandchildren, Beloved Nieces and Nephews and many friends

The family is deeply indebted to Annette’s compassionate and loyal caretakers: Maureen Bernard Group; Glenmeadow at Home; Tamari Tkabladze and Spectrum Hospice.
