Barbara Judith Ginsberg

Barbara Ginsberg passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was born in New York City on October 4, 1939 to Goldie (Sagerman) and Alfred Weiser. Barbara graduated from Taft High School in the Bronx and Hunter College in Queens with a B.A. in French. She started her career as a high school French teacher and later went back to school to earn a Master of Arts in Special Education and a Master of Business Administration. Barbara ultimately went on to work as a Financial Officer and Business Consultant for various companies in the Greater Boston area for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed tennis, reading, writing and speaking the French language, trips to the beach, especially at her home on Cape Cod and spending time with family and friends.

Barbara was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Bernard Ginsberg, and her sister, Carol Preston. She is survived by her devoted partner of 11 years, Arthur Weiner, daughter, Harlene Ginsberg, son-in-law, Jerry Schreibstein, son, Ross Ginsberg, daughter-in-law, Nina Lempert, grandchildren Kayla, Andrew, Maddy and Corinne, sister Natalie Rosenbloom, brother-in-law Murray Rosenbloom and nephew, Alan Rosenbloom. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Careen Walker and her staff for providing the most kind, caring and exceptional support during Barbara’s final weeks. We also greatly appreciate the compassionate care provided by hospice nurse Joanna Cunningham and her staff at Legacy Lifecare. The funeral will be private and arrangements are being made by the Ascher Zimmerman Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JGS Lifecare.
