Barbara Prayzer, 78, of Springfield, MA, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, at Baystate Medical Center Hospice Unit. She was born on March 2, 1948 to Fannie Berkowitz and Kopel Prayzer in Sweden, and immigrated at a young age to the United Sates. Barbara grew up in Springfield, MA, graduated from the American International College in Springfield with a bachelor's degree in education. She went on to become a dedicated elementary teacher in the Springfield Public School System, and touched the lives of countless students until her retirement.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and beloved husband Louis Veronesi. She is survived by first cousins Kenneth (Cynthia) Prayzer and Morris (Tina) Prayzer of Ohio.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 22nd, at 9:30am at the Ascher-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 44 Sumner Ave, Springfield, MA followed by burial at the MA Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA.
