Becca Pava

Tuesday, October 8, 2024, Becca Arielle Pava, age 35, passed away peacefully in her home in Pittsfield, Ma. due to complications from an infection. A graduate of Holyoke Community College and Elms College of Chicopee, Ma., Becca was a gifted writer --author of 2 published books and creator of several blogs (Her most recent was entitled Chronically Alive). Becca struggled with physical and mental health issues for most of her life. Through her writing, Becca tried to help others find ways to manage their chronic illnesses. She sought to break down the stigma of sexual abuse and mental illness and to reveal the dysfunctionality of the United States mental health system for children and young adults. She was imaginative, caring, multi-talented, strong-willed, a lover of animals, and eternally optimistic.
Becca leaves behind her grandparents, Beverly and Sam Pava, parents, Vivian Newman and Dr. Moses Pava, loving brothers, Jonah and Micah, as well as dozens of admiring aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her beloved boyfriend, Jeffrey Harford, predeceased her.
