1933-2025
Dr. Carl Cohen, 91, formerly of Belmont passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 22nd. He was predeceased in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Barbara Bihari Cohen. He was the devoted father of Eden (Marc) Zive and Bradford (Stacy) Cohen, cherished grandfather of Sean, Christine, Andrew, Asher, Alex and Caleb, proud great grandfather of Theodore and Ezekiel, and loving brother of Irma Cohen Strumpf. He also leaves behind many adoring nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carl was a graduate of UCLA ‘54 and Harvard School of Dental Medicine ‘58. He practiced Pediatric Dentistry in Belmont for almost 50 years, was on staff at Boston Children’s Hospital, taught at Harvard Dental Clinic and volunteered on the Hospital Ship: Project Hope as well as on Kibbutz Degania Bet in Israel.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for this summer. Donations may be made in his name to sandiegozoowildlifealliance.org.
