On February 14th, 2025, Carol Elaine Rose, 82, departed this world and ventured on to a new chapter of her life. Born on January 2nd, 1943, at Royal Hospital, she grew up in Walden, New York, where she ventured and thrived in the outdoors, developing a character of steel with passionate energy. After graduating from Vally Central High School, she furthered her education and knowledge at Orange County Community College for Nursing in Middletown, New York, where she met her beloved husband, Elliott H. Rose through the Jewish Student Organization at the local synagogue. Together, Carol and Elliott Rose created a family and her surviving roots growing beneath are her beloved husband of 60 years, Elliott H. Rose, two children, daughter Monica A. (Rose) Kline and son Robert M. Rose, as well as four grandchildren, granddaughters Rebecca E. Kline, Madison O. Rose, Hannah D. Kline, and grandson Asher G. Rose.
Carol Rose built lifelong friendships through her honorable work and service to those around her and the generations to come. In her younger years, she volunteered at the Country Estates Nursing Home leading the activities program including bingo, arts and crafts, and beading. In her spare time, she loved her pets and found the most joy in cats. Carol Rose was a member of the B'nai Jacob Synagogue, where she made challah bread and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Junior Women's Club and the Daughters of the Nile. Her most fond memories were traveling to Watch Hill Beach, Road Island, listening to music, and spending time with her family. In the roller coaster of life, Carol Rose maintained her bright persona and never failed to light up the room. In times of darkness, she found and became the light of a candle. She was a trooper of core values; treating everyone equally with kindness, love, and generosity.
