Fayetta "Bunny" Haberman

July 17, 1928 — November 19, 2025

Fayetta (Berry) Haberman, better known as "Bunny," 97, passed away on November 19th, 2025 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born on July 17, 1928 in Springfield, MA to Harry and Violet (Rosenberg) Berry.

In 1951, Bunny married the love of her life, Mort Haberman and they enjoyed 70 wonderful years together. Bunny graduated from Tech High School in Springfield and worked at both Mass Mutual and Paysaver. She was an active member of Congregation Rodphey Sholom Sisterhood and a life member of Hadassah. She loved to sing, dance, and watercolor painting. She also loved to bake. Everyone who came to visit enjoyed her delicacies, left with a smile and a full stomach.

Bunny is survived by her son Hal and his wife Lori and by her three grandchildren Michael, Valerie and Max, who were the joys of her life. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as her sister-in-law Toby Rubin. She was preceded in death by her husband Morty, her daughter Holly, and her sister Jayne Ellen.

The family would like to send a special thank you to her caregivers Donna Gamble and Pat Allard for their love and support. There will be a graveside service at Rodphey Sholom Cemetery on Pendleton Avenue in Chicopee, Friday November 21st at 12pm. Donations can be made to Congregation Rodphey Sholom and the American Diabetes Association.
