Longmeadow – Harriet (Rispler) Cohen, 92, of Longmeadow, passed away peacefully Sunday January 14th. Born in Springfield, she was a graduate of Commerce High School. She grew the family business, Sam’s Glass Works Inc, to include The Leonard Gallery. Harriet was a member of B’nai Jacob and Beth El Temple sisterhoods. She was a life member of Mizrachi Women, Hadassah and the Jewish Nursing Home Women’s Division. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard in 2006. She leaves two children Jeffrey (Debra) and Cheryl (Jerry Seeler). The light of her life were her grandchildren Miriam, Samuel and Harrison along with her great-grandchildren Logan, Jonah, Levi, Ensley and Emery.
The funeral will be held at Ascher-Zimmerman Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 17, at 1:oo pm. With burial following at the City of Homes Cemetery. Shiva service at 6 pm at Glenmeadow Retirement Community, 24 Tabor Crossing, Longmeadow MA 01106.
