1926-2024
Springfield – Jerome Nathanson, 98, passed away Sunday at the East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center. Born in New York City, he attended Brooklyn public schools. Jerome served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and after returning, received his business degree from Pace University in NYC. Jerome used his degree to work as an accountant his entire career, retiring in 1989. He was predeceased by his wife Lucille Nathanson in 2016. Jerome is survived by his son Ira (Mary) Nathanson, his sister Irene Solomon, and his two grandchildren Adam and Hannah. His graveside service will be Monday March 4th at 1:00 PM at Beth El Cemetery in West Springfield. The family will be receiving guests at their home Monday thru Thursday from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
