Leon S. Herman

Leon S. Herman passed away on Thursday April 10th surrounded by his family. Leon was born in Springfield and was a lifelong resident of Longmeadow. Leon leaves behind Ina, his beloved wife of 58 years, his daughters Cheryl (Adam) Scolnick, Naomi (Paul Ryan), and his two grandchildren Ally and Jay Scolnick. Leon was an accountant for 60 years and had a successful business in the community. He was also a lifelong member and the treasurer of Kodimoh (now B’nai Torah) synagogue. Leon could often be seen biking or walking around town with a friendly smile on his face. He loved to travel and spend time with his family. A service will be held at Ascher Zimmerman Funeral Home on April 15th at 10am with burial to follow in Kodimoh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Leon’s memory to B’nai Torah or the charity of your choice.
