Lois (Magaziner) Solin 94 of Springfield, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on October 25th, 2024. Lois was born in 1930 to David and Alice (Fuchs) Magaziner. They later moved to Brooklyn, NY to start the family business; Magaziner's Bakery. Predeceased by her parents, her brother Jerome Magaziner, her son Robert Solin, and the love of her life, her husband Saul Solin. Lois and Saul were married on June 27th, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY later moving to Springfield where they lived happily until Saul's death in 1984. Lois worked for the Big Y for many years before retiring at the age of 84.
She is survived by her children; Terri and Mel Brickman of Torrington, CT, Barbara and Richard DeLeo of Somers, CT, David Solin and Jilian Venetianer of Guilford, CT, and Michael and Coleen Solin of Springfield. Lois also leaves her grandchildren; Joshua & (Leslie) Zucker, Barry & (Sara) Zucker, Jessica Bergeron, Allison & (Eric) Brown, Alex Solin and Ben Solin, Jon & (Diana) Solin, and Corey Solin. Her great grandchildren; Jonathan, Lilly, Brady, Harper, Nolan, Ryliee, Alex, Lucas. She also leaves her loving niece, Erica Magaziner, and honorary family member Tracy Lavoie.
After losing her husband, Lois dedicated herself to her family. Always placing family above all else. She had many talents and hobbies including playing piano, painting, gardening, crocheting, classical music, and her love for animals. Lois was loved for her devilish personality, sense of humor, and kind heart. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
There will be a graveside funeral service on Friday, November 1st at 1:00 pm at B'nai Jacob Cemetery located at 366 Kings Hwy, West Springfield, MA
