MARCIA ALBERT
Marcia Albert, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025. Born in Springfield, April 11, 1930 to Pauline (Katz) and Max Goldberg. She graduated from Classical High School and attended Boston University. Marcia met her husband, Howard, on a college ski trip and enjoyed seventy years of marriage before his passing in 2021.
Marcia, like her mother before her, was the matriarch of the family – thriving in all environments that brought her loved ones together. She savored all opportunities to host grand family celebrations and was proud to share her recipes and long-standing traditions with her family.
She enjoyed family vacations – traveling with her sisters and families as they explored parts of the world together. One of her favorite places was closer to home in New London, CT, where she called Neptune Park home for decades of summers with family and friends. Marcia had a keen appreciation for antiques - especially paperweights - and enjoyed many years as an entrepreneur, buying and selling beautiful treasures.
Marcia was predeceased by her husband, Howard Albert and her sister Merna D’Agostino. She is survived by her three children Caryn and her husband Jim Gavin, Brad Albert and his wife Jane, and David Albert (Vinnie). She was ‘Gram’ to seven grandchildren, Sara, Alissa, Michael (Margery), Dan (Rachel), Erica (Mike), Brendan, and Kira (Ray) and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving sister Ellen Fieldstein and many nieces and nephews.
The family appreciates the compassionate care Marcia received at the Jewish Nursing Home.
