Sandra (Sandi) Lotterman, 79, from Longmeadow, Massachusetts passed away on October 21, 2024 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She is survived by her two loving daughters Lori Lotterman (Gary Kushner) and Amy Manegre, and beloved grandchildren Alexa and Nathan Kushner and grand puppy Bruin.
Sandi is pre-deceased by her parents Clarence Hersh and Doris (Novack) Hersh. She leaves three brothers: Harry Hersh (Lynn Hersh), Lawrence Hersh (Kathy Hersh), and Joel Hersh.
Sandi was a lifelong resident of Springfield. She graduated from Technical High School and received her associate’s degree in nursing from Holyoke Hospital.
She was a Nurse who worked at Wesson Memorial Hospital for over 30 years in Pediatrics, Day Stay, Adult Geriatrics, and Childhood Psychiatrics. She always wore her nursing hat to help family and friends in need.
Sandi was a past-president of B’nai B’rith Organization, National Organization of Women, and active lifelong member at Sinai Temple. She volunteered at the Jewish Nursing Home and Sinai Temple Gift Shops. At Sinai Temple, Sandi received her Adult Bat Mitzvah and was a member of the Sinai Temple Choir. She attended torah study routinely and holiday services. In her later years, she entered the Ms. Massachusetts Senior Pageant. Sandi enjoyed needlepoint and playing mah jongg with her friends.
Her funeral will take place on Monday October 28, 2024 11:00 am at the City of Homes Cemetery 904 Wilbraham Road Springfield, Massachusetts.
In lieu of flowers, family request that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Ruth’s House.
