Sandra P Novitch

Sandra (Kotkins) Novitch, 89, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 in Longmeadow, MA. She was born in Springfield, MA on January 3, 1936 to Lillian (Platsky) and Morton Kotkins. She married her high school sweetheart, Jason Novitch, in May 1955 who preceded her death in 2015. Sandy loved the first flowers of spring, baking cookies for her family and hosting joyful holiday gatherings in her home. She was a deeply loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, and Bubbe. She is survived by her children, Debra Novitch and Wayne Schweitzer, Douglas and Cyndee Novitch and Marc and Julie Novitch as well as her beloved sister, Lenore Ram. In addition, she leaves behind her grandchildren, Irina and Daniel Schaffer, Rachel and Danny Goldsmith, Justin and Alyssa Novitch, Aaron Novitch and Jessica Marston, Chase Novitch, Seth, Nicholas, and Amelia Novitch. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren, Linden, Milo, Giannah, Adrienne, Emma, and Dechen.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 12:00pm at Beth Shalom Memorial Park, 68 Autumn Street, Manchester, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society or Jewish Geriatric Services 770 Converse Street, Longmeadow, MA. The Ascher-Zimmerman Funeral Home is assisting the family.
