Dr. Stephen Machinton

November 6, 1945 - November 11, 2025

Dr. Stephen Machinton, a loving father, grandfather, brother, and dedicated physician, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, at the age of 80.

Born on November 6, 1945, Stephen graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and went on to earn his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College, where he specialized in obstetrics and gynecology. Throughout his long and caring career, he served patients in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Holyoke, Massachusetts; and Taunton, Massachusetts. He was deeply respected for his skill, his kindness, and his unwavering commitment to those he cared for.

Stephen was predeceased by his beloved wife, Nancy (Weber) Machinton, with whom he shared many years of love and partnership. He leaves behind his daughters, Rachel Machinton and Leni-Sarah (Machinton) Boucher, and his son-in-law, Michael Boucher. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of Cameron Austin Boucher and Jarred Shayne Boucher, who brought him endless joy and laughter. He is also survived by his brother, William Machinton, and his wife, Barbara, who were a cherished part of his life.

Outside of medicine, Stephen found happiness in his hobbies and the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid model train enthusiast, a devoted HAM radio operator, and took great pride in raising and showing champion collies. His curiosity, warmth, and quiet humor touched everyone who knew him.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Stephen's memory may be made to the Collie Health Foundation, online at www.colliehealth.org.

He will be remembered with love and gratitude by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
